We’re here to preserve and carry forward what matters.
That means honoring the land and legacy we’ve inherited. It means producing animals with care and intention. And it means staying grounded in a way of life that’s becoming harder to find, but still worth holding onto.
OUR VALUES
At Molena Horse & Cattle Company, we believe in:
Keeping land open and working
Producing quality, not quantity
Respecting the animals in our care
Contributing to our local community
Working with integrity and purpose
ABOUT US
Meet the Beckhams
The land that makes up today’s Molena Horse & Cattle Company has been in the Beckham family for four generations. First farmed around 1885 as a cotton operation, the property has grown and evolved with each passing decade. In 2020, after the passing of family patriarch Richard Beckham, Glenn and Kathleen Beckham became the sole owners and caretakers of the farm.
Today, Glenn and Kathleen operate it as both a horse and cattle farm. Kathleen is a writer, horse trainer, and horsemanship coach, dedicated to producing thoughtful, well-rounded working horses. Glenn manages the cattle and hay production. Together, they’ve set out to preserve something that feels increasingly rare: a working family farm rooted in values, history, and hard work. They believe in raising quality livestock, stewarding open land, and producing honest, locally-sourced food for their community.
THE CATTLE
Meet Our Herd
We’ve been carefully building our herd of Angus and Angus-cross cattle, selecting for beef quality, good conformation, and even temperament. A calm cow is a healthier cow. And when stress levels are lower for the herd, they’re lower for the humans and horses working with them too. Better for everyone, and yes, better tasting beef, too.
We take pride in our maternal cow lines. Some cows live on the farm for over ten years, and at times we’ll have four or five generations from the same family here at once. The bulls may come and go, but the mama cows stay and shape the herd. That kind of continuity leads to consistency in the beef we produce.
Our cattle are pasture-raised with minimal grain supplementation to encourage just the right amount of marbling and flavor without ever sending them to a feedlot.
Beef is available by the whole, half, or quarter. We deliver to west-central Georgia and the greater Atlanta area. (At this time, we don’t ship.)
Our beef is available by the whole, half, or quarter. It is pasture-raised, minimally grain-finished, and never feedlot-fed. Everything we sell is raised right here on our family farm, with care you can taste. We offer local delivery across west-central Georgia and the Atlanta area.
